- 1976 Capel St Mary Parish Council purchases approximately 6 acres od land for use as allotments
- 2nd February 1977 fist meeting of Capel St. Mary Allotments Association - initial membership subscription agreed at 25 pence
- 23rd May 1977 meeing minutes report on progress of water supply for £670 to seven stand pipes
- 23rd May 1977 meeting agreed to offer local scouts £5 to pull up weeds from whole site!
- 20th August 1977 judging for best kept allotment competition - the prize remains as a bottle of whisky
- 1978 AGM chairman reports "allotment shed" ready to be handed over to the association
- 1978 AGM discussions regarding the cost of plot rental being too high
- 1978 first annual flower and produce show held
- 1979 rotovator purchased
- March 1985 - membership now 136
- 1988 downturn in interest in allotmenteering in Capel St. Mary
- 1991 profit on hut sales almost reach £450
- 1992 entries in the show reach 596 made by 97 people - almost 50% up on previous year
- 1993 chairman express concern at level of plot rentals and reminds members that spare allotment land is sometimes viewed as potential building land
- 2000 allotment toliet built
- 2004 polytunnel erected on site to create 24 mini plots
- 2009 work commences on the Community Wildlife project (see sperate page)
- 2011 all weather temporary shelter erected
